The conversation around women’s health during pregnancy, postpartum, and peri-menopause has changed significantly in recent years. The research is richer, the awareness is growing, and the expectations people bring to the organisations that serve them have shifted accordingly.
What hasn’t kept pace is the quality of information and education available to those organisations, and the people working within them.
That’s the gap Anna works in.
Anna Downs is a Tedx Speaker, Women’s health educator, author, Specialist Personal Trainer and former British Army officer with over 15 years’ experience in perinatal and peri-menopausal health and movement.
She is the founder of Move Well with Anna, a Bangkok-based practice dedicated to supporting women through pregnancy, postpartum, peri-menopause, and beyond with expert-led, evidence-based movement and education.
Her work is grounded in lived experience as much as professional expertise. After navigating two difficult pregnancies, complicated deliveries, Diastasis Recti, prolapse, cervical cancer, a hysterectomy, and further abdominal and spine surgery, Anna has spent over a decade turning that experience into practical, evidence-informed knowledge that genuinely serves the women who need it most.
She has spoken at international conferences, delivered professional development training to educators and wellness professionals across Southeast Asia, and consulted for schools and organisations seeking to meaningfully improve their approach to women’s health.
She is a TEDx speaker, TEDxThonglorWomen in April 2026, where she explores the societal disconnect between how we prepare for physically challenging events in comparison to pregnancy and becoming a parent, in her talk ‘The Athleticism of Birth: What it we’re preparing for pregnancy all wrong?’

Anna speaks on topics at the intersection of women’s health, movement, and empowerment, with a particular focus on pregnancy, postpartum recovery, peri-menopause, and pelvic health. Her talks are evidence-informed, practically grounded, and delivered in a way that makes complex clinical knowledge accessible to any audience, whether that’s a room of educators, corporate employees, medical professionals, or the general public.
She has spoken at international education conferences, school health fairs, corporate wellness events, and TEDx forums. Every talk is developed in conversation with the organiser to ensure it speaks directly to the audience in the room.
For organisations that want to go deeper than a single event, Anna offers structured professional development and consulting, tailored to the specific context of the organisation.
This includes training educators, healthcare professionals, and wellness staff to understand and apply evidence-based knowledge of women’s perinatal and peri-menopausal health within their own practice. It also includes company policy reviews supporting women’s health, consulting for schools, clinics, and organisations seeking to develop or review their approach to supporting women’s health across key life stages.
Anna works with organisations to understand their existing provision, the knowledge gaps within their teams, and the specific needs of the people they serve, before building a training or consulting approach that is genuinely useful rather than generic.
